This study proposes a form of nocturnal illumination for one of the most important monuments in Thessaloniki. The large volume of the building rules out classic lighting solutions. Following an initial investigation, a proposal is put forward to install floodlights on top of three apartment blocks around the monument, together with devices in front of the floodlights designed to control their light beams. This is the first time that this system has been applied to outdoor floodlights.
