Die gestiegenen Anforderungen an Leitsysteme wirken sich auch auf die Verfahren zum Austausch und Test von Software aus. Auch ohne vereinbarte Software-Updates ist erfahrungsgemäß aufgrund von Fehlerbehebung Software auszutauschen. Die Verfasser beschreiben die Anforderungen an das Softwaremanagement sowie den Austausch einzelner Programme, der gesamten Software und der Softwaretest. Dabei werden die Vorteile von Netzleitsystemen mit redundanter Auslegung dargestellt.%The increased requirements for process control systems also have an effect on the procedures for exchanging and testing software.
