Incumbent telecoms operator Ukrtelecom has reported that itrnhas expanded the coverage of its fixed broadband network acrossrnUkraine to 4,000 residents in 28 villages and 12 regions. As a result,rnit has continued posted y-o-y growth in subscribers, reflected byrnthe latest results from the regulator, which also show internet usersrnin Ukraine increasing. Despite ongoing growth in the sector, BMIrnhas a poor outlook for the broadband internet segment in Ukraine,rndue to competitive, regulatory and geographical factors. We believernincreased investment is needed from operators in both urban andrnregions, however, given the spate of protests in Kiev, our outlookrnfor the sector has worsened.
