A fresh attempt is to be made to shake up the Macedonian mobilernmarket through the introduction of mobile virtual network operatorsrn(MVNOs) and low pricing. National regulatory authority Agencyrnfor Electronic Communications (AEC) has confirmed that one newrnMVNO has started operating after it eased regulations governingrnthe provision of such services and suspended price caps applicablernto such operators. BMI believes the conditions are now right tornsupport the launch of MVNOs in this saturated market, but counselrnagainst excess investment in this field owing to the likelihood ofrnlow margins.
