According to the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC), 42rnentities hold licences to provide fixed telephone (local, long-distancernand international) services in Macedonia as of March 2013. Of thatrnnumber, 33 were actively providing services and reporting activitiesrnto the regulator. The largest player is the incumbent, MakedonskirnTelekom (MKT), which is part of the Deutsche Telekom group andrnoffers fixed telephony and broadband services under the T-Homernbrand. Its competitors are the mobile-focused ONE and a numberrnof cable TV companies, the most significant of which are Blizoorn(formerly CableTel) and Telekabel with their VoIP offerings.
