The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies n(MCIT) of Azerbaijan has awarded 3G mobile communications nlicences to GSM operators Bakcell and Azercell, breaking the nmonopoly held by rival Azerfon in this feld. BMI welcomes this nlong-awaited development because we expect that the arrival of nnew players will considerably boost consumption of value-added nservices and mobile media devices.
