Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), which operatesnunder the Vivacom brand, is available for purchase again, according tonlocal press reports. The incumbent is currently controlled by its creditorsnwho have hired Morgan Stanley to serve as a consultant in fnding anbuyer for the company. The move to put BTC back on the market followsnthe collapse of the transaction in October 2010 that would have seennDubai-based Oger Telecom take over the company’s management. Ogernis reportedly still interested in acquiring the asset. A strategic investmentnin the operator would improve the company’s outlook by invigoratingnmanagement and operations, however the company’s complex debtnburden could derail the sale, BMI believes.
