Local newspaper Ziarul Financiar has reported that a Romaniannretailer is in advanced talks with mobile network operators to leaseninfrastructure to launch an MVNO. The launch would be the firstnMVNO in Romania, following the regulator ANCOM's publicationnof regulatory guidelines in May 2012. BMI believes the presence ofnMVNOs will be positive for consumers as it will increase choice andnlower prices. However, we caution that MVNO opportunities in Romanianare limited already by low prices and high mobile penetration.
