Russia's largest mobile operator MTS has launched an outpatientncare device for remote check -ups and regular monitoring of patients.nThe radio-enabled wrist strap, called Opeka, includes a SIM fornMTS' mobile network that will transmit data, monitoring patientsnwith long-term health issues and workers in hazardous service sectors.nBMI highlights that the market opportunity for outpatient carenservices in Russia is high, but notes there are some limitations tonthe technology base in the country. Nevertheless, with the backingnof one of the country's largest telecoms providers, we believe thenservice will be popular among patients.
