1. The European Commission (EC) has published part of its digital strategy, with white papers on artificial intelligence (AI) and on data 2. The EC wants to keep being the world’s global tech regulator, but it also wants to create the right ecosystem for European tech companies to thrive and become global players 3. In our view, this can only happen if the EU completes the Digital Single Market 4. Global tech influence will require both regulation and an ecosystem.
