Huawei has a strong 4G presence on the continent, and the lack of interoperabilitywould make a ban both costly and time-consuming3. The EU wants to strike the right balance between the US and China, but is weakened bythe lack of a Digital Single Market4. The US strategy seems to have failed, and it is likely to retaliate.
