The US and Chinese technology markets are interdependent and interconnected - anybarriers would have a disruptive impact on the two countries, and reverberate across theglobal telecoms and technology sectors.2. The prospect of a full ‘splinternet’, where the US and Chinese ecosystems are notinteroperable, remains unlikely. However, there will be increasing differences, andcompetition, between the US and Chinese models - prompting a range of differentstakeholders (governments, operators, enterprises and consumers) to make a choicebetween the two.
