摘要

The main purpose of this research is to determine the phytoavailable amount of zinc, copper, lead and cadmium in soil taken from the vicinity of Sakyatan, Konya. ICP-OES has been used for all metals measurements. The metals were extracted with 4-morfolinoasetofenon 4-fenil-3-tiyosemikarbazon (MAPPT) into dimethylformamide (DMF) which was evaporated later and then, the residue was dissolved with diluted nitric acid. The analysis of soils have been carried out by calibration curve and then, compared with DTPA extraction method (a widely used method). The detection limits are 1.03 g L~(-1), 0.67 g L~(-1), 2.76 g L~(-1) and 0.49 g L~(-1) for Zn, Cu, Pb, and Cd respectively. We were able extract a little higher amounts of metals with MAPPT comparing to DTPA method. With the new method less chemical is required and some metals can be extracted in a wider pH range. Although the results show that this method can easily be used for routine soil analysis of phytoavailable amount of zinc, copper, lead and cadmium in soil as an alternative method, the method needs to be tested more.
