Evaluation of Gas Control Ability of a Coal and Gas Outburst Mine

摘要

Gas control of coal and gas outburst mines faces rigorous challenges in China, including safety (the most serious challenge), environmental, and other issues. To reduce gas accidents and gas emissions in coal and gas outburst mines, an improved evaluation system for the gas control ability must be proposed. Based on the main factors of the gas control of coal and gas outburst mines, this article establishes an ability evaluation system, covering gas control technologies, security management, gas emission reduction, and utilization, for gas control in coal and gas outburst mining. This article proposes methods for calculating the weight of each index and the gas control capability, taking into account the method of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Finally, the index system is used to evaluate the gas control capability of the Luling Coal Mine, a typical coal and gas outburst mine in China that has demonstrated the validity of the index system. It may also be useful as a tool to diagnose existing problems of gas control in coal and gas outburst mining and as a measure to promote gas control in coal and gas outburst mining.
