摘要

This paper deals with the loss of accuracy of numerical integration of the weakly singular integrals in 3-D BEM formulations by Gauss quadrature when the source point is close to an edge of quadrilateral element. Instead of increasing the computational effort to solve this problem, a multiple transformation of integration variables is proposed. Several numerical experiments are carried out in order to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed numerical algorithm.
