Haven't we heard them all? ERP, TQM, JIT, MRP, CIM, SPC, ABC, MBO, and XYZ. Some worked, some didn't. However, there is a new three-letter term to be added to the list. That word is FUN. Give it a try It will work for you. Daily conversations at work are filled with words such as standards, costs, variances, controls, procedures, contracts, safety, labour law, and productivity The result is what Stephen Lundin has called "toxic energy dumps" in the workplace and Ron Zemke, has referred to it as a "mind-numbing, spirit-breaking experience". By contrast, how often is the word 'fun' invoked?
