摘要

Roger Davis's Tinkerbell' is a particularly good looking representative of this design. Apart from the lengthened frames and leading truck mentioned in Pt. Ⅰ, it also incorporates a number of modifications including a leading truck, a steam pump for the air brakes and controls of man-size proportions which give a most satisfying ambience to the model. Measuring instruments in hand I approached the partially dismantled model with every confidence of finding all the key dimensions of the drawings replicated on the model. Here I had a surprise for not only were there many variations from those specified but the dimensions on the left hand side of the locomotive were different to the right! As already noted, this particular locomotive as built was a rather quirky take on Roger Marsh's original design.
