Michael Withers had a range of engineering jobs before taking up the position of Managing Director of ERA Technology. He believes that British engineers should be able to work more efficiently than they do at present, thus securing the higher status they yearn for. He also states bluntly that those who run engineering organisations must have an engineering background, including the financial director! He expands on these and other management philosophies to the author.
