Stochastic Dynamics of Structures constitutes a comprehensive treatment of probabilistic and stochastic methods applied to problems of structural dynamics. The coverage of material is impressive, with eight main chapters dealing with the following topics: stochastic processes and random fields, stochastic models of dynamic excitations (seismic, wind and wave), stochastic finite element analysis, random vibration analysis, probability density evolution analysis (both theory and numerical methods), dynamic reliability of structures and, finally, optimal control of stochastic systems.
