"The Product Data Management (PDM) market is expected to grow at more than 30 per cent per year for the rest of the century," comments senior CIMdata consultant, Dr Stanley Port, "making it one of the most important and fastest growing technologies currently being exploited by industry worldwide. And it's not difficult to see why. Early implementers of PDM technology report benefits such as; engineering and operating costs reduced by as much as 15 per cent, development costs trimmed by 15 per cent, engineering changes reduced by 40 per cent and new products brought to market up to 25 per cent quicker." "These are benefits that no company can afford to ignore in today's competitive marketplace," he adds. "What's more, the technology is equally applicable to manufacturing, engineering and process industries alike."
