摘要

In this work, power consumption results of helical ribbon impellers mixing Newtonian and shear-thinning fluids have been reviewed. From a literature Survey, geometrical parameters of helical ribbon mixing systems and their power Input measurements were reported. Correlations to predict power demands of Helical ribbon mixing systems were also given and discussed. An empirical model Is proposed to predict the K_p factors. This new correlation was found to be in good Agreement with power input measurements found in literature.
