摘要

The authors study steady and two-dimensional natural convection through a po- rous layer inserted between two vertical plates subjected to constant but non- uniform heat flux densities. The Brinkman equation extended to include the inertia term or the Forchheimer equation, the hypotheses of Boussinesq and the bounda- ry layer approximation have been used. Once normalized, the transfer equations are solved by finite differences. The velocity, temperature and pressure fields are determined along with certain dimensionless quantities characterizing flow.
