摘要

We describe the use of laser-induced thermodiffusive concentration variations to quench a liquid mixture and to drive a phase separation. Since the nucleated droplets are trapped in the laser beam by dipolar forces, we show that optically driven Soret quenches allow to analyze the kinetics of the transition from the nucleation stage tot he crossover between a bulk be- havior and finite size effects generated by the beam.
