Thermal Diffusion Forced Rayleigh Scatter- ing (TDFRS) has been successfully applied to study transport properties of polymers in solu- tions [1]. A transient thermal grating is written into a slightly absorbing solution. The rise and the decay of the temperature-induced concentra- tion grating is probed by a readout laser beam.
