摘要

The presented paper is related to the atomization of liquid fuels containing added air(effervescent atomization). Due to the smaller air content in comparison with the liquid fuel a bubbly flow is established a nozzle orifice. The results obtained show that two mechanisms of spray atomization exist. They are different in nature and can be called in-nozzle(INA)and out-nozzle(ONA) atomization. Both contribute to spray cone increase. It is found out that distance between bubbles and a diameter criterion, which is represented by a ratio a diameter diameter to a bubble mean diameter govern the in-nozzle mechanism of spray atomization.
