Industry and animal rights groups are pressing the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to deny or delay EPA's call for an information collection request (ICR) for a second list of chemicals to undergo study in its Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program (EDSP), arguing that EPA has yet to meet OMB standards for finalizing its review of the first list. The groups argue that EPA is still reviewing the results of EDSP screening for the first group of chemicals screened through the program following test orders issued in 2009. They note OMB issued terms of clearance for the ICR it issued for those 2009 test orders, and that EPA should meet those terms before OMB signs off on test orders for a second list.
