In a major uptick from previous years,EPA is significantly boosting the number of federal facilities it is adding to a list of sites to evaluate for cleanup actions,and possibly adding to the list of the nation's most hazardous waste sites. In a Federal Register notice published Nov.25,the agency added 33 new federal facilities to its so-called Federal Agency Hazardous Waste Compliance Docket-a public listing used to identify federal sites that should be evaluated for potential threats to public health or the environment.
