摘要

The summer of 2013 has been one of significant transition at Society and Space. As already announced on the Society and Space Open Site, we have had wonderful additions to our editorial team. We are very fortunate that Mary Thomas has joined us as an editor of the journal. Mary, an associate professor at Ohio State University in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies, first joined Society and Space as a review editor in 2007. In addition to leaving a legacy of a strong individual book review and review essay section in the print journal, she was central in getting the review part of the open site-the companion website to the journal launched in 2011-up and running. Mary has already made important contributions to the journal beyond book reviews, including the Fictional Worlds symposium, the open site forum Books of the Decade, and editing a virtual theme issue on 'Boys Town Redux'. Mary will now be taking on a coordinating role with a share of article submissions to the journal, and various behind-the-scenes duties in running the journal.
