Pion Ltd is proud to announce that it has been selected to receive the Publication Award of the Association of American Geographers for 2011. The citation reads: "The Association of American Geographers presents its Publication Award to Pion Publishing in recognition of more than four decades of support for geographical scholarship and publishing across the entire field of human geography, including GIScience. The four geographical journals in the Pion stable, in the Environment and Planning series, have played central roles in the growth and transformation of geographical scholarship since the late 1960s, and today remain pre-eminent venues for high-quality publishing in our own discipline and beyond
