Much research has been done on wildlife management but not on the man- agement of wildlife habitat. Protected Areas have been sanctuaries, like the Noah's Ark, with the sole objective of conserving species. Unfortunately, Conservationists have by and large ignored the numerous other functions That protected areas serve, which could greatly strengthen the justification For their existence and expansion.
