The administration's intention to ease fuel-efficiency standards for automobiles threatens to harm one of the metal industries that President Donald Trump vowed to protect, while doing little to benefit the other.About a month after the U.S. announced tariffs to protect U.S. aluminum and steel producers, the Environmental Protection Agency said April 2 it plans to re-lax Obama-era fuel regulations to aid U.S. makers of cars and light trucks.
