House Natural Resources Committee Democrats are urging the White House to lobby for significant investments in any budget reconciliation measure to address climate resiliency, boostconservation, and honor the government’s obligations to tribes.Chair Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and seven other committee Democrats expressed concern that Interior Department programs will be shortchanged in the Senate’s budget reconciliationmeasure.“Early indications are that vital funding for the Department of the Interior (DOI) may be left out of these efforts,” the group wrote in a letter to President Joe Biden, asking for his help “inmeeting this need.”
