A preliminary injunction that suspended federal regulations on hydraulic fracturing was based on a variety of good reasons and is likely to be a moot issue before an appeals court can decide on the legitimacy of the injunction, two industry groups told the appeals court (Wyoming v. Interior, 10th Cir., No. 15-8126, 5/25/16). The injunction is being appealed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit while the case against the underlying rule from the Bureau of Land Management is being considered in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming.
