摘要

Fighting climate change was one of 17 goals proposed by a United Nations group working on the international organization's post-2015 development agenda. Countries should seek to strengthen their resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters, integrate climate change into national policies and planning, and take other "urgent" actions to combat climate change and its impacts as part of the UN's sustainable development goals (SDGs), according to an outcome document finalized July 19. The SDGs-which also touch on climate change in other goals for ending poverty and hunger and making communities more sustainable-are set to succeed the current millennium development goals after they expire in 2015.
