Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) is working to add language to appropriations legislation for fiscal year 2015 that will block the Obama administration's proposed definition of the jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act, according to a statement released by the senator Oct. 3. The best and most likely way to stop the proposed rule is to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from using any funds to implement it, Hoeven said.
