The Environmental Protection Agency is providing $183.5 million for California infrastructure with the goals of improving local water facilities and reducing water pollution. The announcement was made at an Oct. 2 press conference in Fresno, Calif., where Jared Blumenfeld, EPA Region 9 administrator, said the funding "will help create construction jobs, develop infrastructure and conserve resources as we deal with the challenge of climate change."
