An International Civil Aviation Organization committee has reached unanimous agreement on certification procedures to support a carbon dioxide emissions standard for new aircraft, the president of the Montreal-based U.N. agency's governing council said Feb. 14. Roberto Kobeh Gonzalez said in a statement that the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection agreed at meetings the week of Feb. 4 on the new carbon dioxide certification procedures, which he called another key step in developing a comprehensive emissions standard.
