A solar company that received a $400 million loan guarantee from the Energy Department plans to shut its doors and file for bankruptcy, the department said June 28. Abound Solar Manufacturing LLC, a Colorado-based manufacturer of thin film solar panels, plans to halt operations the week of July 2, making it the fourth company backed by the Energy Department's loan guarantee program to file for bankruptcy.
