Reps. Jim Matheson (D-Utah) and John Sullivan (R-Okla.) released a draft bill April 4 that would require the Environmental Protection Agency to analyze the cumulative economic impact of air pollution and other rules. The Transparency in Regulatory Analysis of Impacts on the Nation Act of 2011 would establish a federal in-teragency committee, to be chaired by the secretary of commerce, to analyze the cumulative impacts of those EPA rules.
