Ken Kopocis, President Obama's nominee to lead the Environmental Protection Agency's water office, assured a Senate committee July 19 that if confirmed, he intends to address issues in a bipartisan manner and will listen to differing views. Kopocis, who has worked for more than 25 years in various House and Senate policy aide positions on water issues, said he has learned from his work that "the allies on your side of an issue do not always have the correct answer, and the advocates on the other side of the issue are not always wrong."
