The Environmental Protection Agency later this year will propose to withdraw a rule finalized in the waning days of the Bush administration that greatly expanded the amount of hazardous waste that could be burned as fuel under an exemption to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.rnThe emissions-comparable fuels rule, issued in December 2008, has been criticized by environmental advocates and is the subject of a petition for review filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in March.
