The Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to limit emissions of a range of toxic air pollutants from polyvinyl chloride plants, signing a settlement agreement Oct. 30 that commits it to finalizing emissions limits by July 29, 2011 (Mossville Environmental Action Now v. Jackson, D.D.C., No. 08-1803, settlement reached 10/30/09). In the settlement signed with Mossville Environmental Action Now, the Louisiana Environmental Action Network, and the Sierra Club, EPA agreed to propose emissions limits by Oct. 29, 2010.
