Norway's NOK 15.7 billion (€1.88 billion) Ministry of Agriculture and Food's budget for next year, 3.8 per cent more than the 2009 budget, will feature investment in carbon capture and storage (CCS) and climate friendly agriculture as well as CO_2 taxes for cars.rnThe NOK 3.8 billion CCS investment includes NOK 1.8 billion (€215 million) to develop the technology at the Karsto and Mongstad refineries and co-operation with international CO_2 capture efforts. "This investment in developing CCS technology may indeed be crucial in the battle to save the environment," says Norwegian Oil & Gas Minister Terje Riis-Johansen.
