Environmental Business Journal: When did you launch your climate change practice, and how did it evolve from your existing business?rnCraig Cheney: "AEA Technology plc of the United Kingdom acquired Project Performance Corporation (PPC) in the summer of 2008 to expand its climate change offerings in the U.S., and to apply PPC's additional expertise, particularly in the data management field, to its existing operations. AEA has been supporting the United Kingdom and European climate change initiatives for more than 10 years, and PPC has been involved in climate change and carbon management initiatives for more than five years. AEA's climate change consultancy operations evolved from its air quality and emissions business. This started off as a department within the United Kingdom government, formed to deal with the notorious 'London Fog' in the 1940s and 1950s. This issue led to early efforts to improve the United Kingdom's air quality and AEA has been a leader in the field ever since."
