The current energy structure of China is unbalanced, with the nation using coal for more than 68 percent of its energy needs and natural gas for only 2.7 percent. Meanwhile,rncoalbed methane (CBM), a good supplement for natural gas, has not been developed efficiently. As a result, China has experienced severe pollution while wasting a source of clean energy and undermining its resource security.
