The Moroccan city of Agadir is getting new street furniture. Planters, bus shelters, benches, lighting, signposts and kiosks - even the lettering on municipal vehicles and public transport - are all going to be replaced by new products which fit in with the city's new house style. Hicham Lahlou, responsible for the design of this house-style, is well-known in his own country, not only as a designer of street furniture but in other disciplines too. He turns his hand to designing publications just as easily as he does to designing watches and interiors. He has star status in Morocco and just this year he won the French prize, Observeur du design 2010, for his street furniture series.
