the normative enterprise of connecting particular character traits with environmental concerns, identifying how particular dispositions constitute environmental virtues or vices. Sandier has also done a fantastic job advancing a virtue-theoretic account of right action, although I have some concern about this as a model of the virtuous person's deliberations. My remarks here, however, will focus on the place of human rationality and noneudaimonistic ends within a neo-Aristotelian, natural goodness framework. I worry that Sandier may have sold-short the promise of a naturalistic eudaimonism for environmental ethics.
