摘要

It is widely accepted that human activity contributes to climate change, mainly through the indiscriminate emission of greenhouse gases (GHG), primarily carbon dioxide (CO_2). While the main activities causing GHG are based in the energy and transport sectors (70 per cent of CO_2), other sectors or activities (industrial processes, agriculture, livestock, waste, housing, tourism, etc.) also contribute to the greenhouse effect to a greater or lesser extent.The immediate consequence of the greenhouse effect, caused by the emission of these gases, is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth or "global warming", consisting in an increase of 1 to 3°C of the atmospheric temperature.
