Academics seem to have a love-hate relationship with journal ranking lists. When a particular ranking suits our purposes, (i.e., it ranks 'our' journals highly) we want to feature the list prominently in the discussion. When the listing contradicts our purposes, we instead feature the faults of such lists as a genre. This is not just human nature, its good argumentation and debating skills. Feature the facts that back the argument.
