摘要

We describe a method for analyzing a transmission chain by progressively adding cascaded blocks and computing the channel capacity at each step of the analysis. We apply the method to the transmission channel used for Digital Audio Broadcasting. The analysis suggests a possible improvement of the receiver, consisting of an optimal coherent reception and an estimate of the corresponding gain in Signal to Noise Ratio.
